As part of our commitment to taking every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of our people, partners, customers, and communities during COVID-19, we have screening measures in place to help prevent those who have, or may be at risk of having, COVID-19 from entering our workplaces.

The Ministry of Health has released updated guidelines for health screening measures to be followed by businesses and organizations, which include an expanded list of symptoms. As we continue to follow the guidance of public health officials, we have updated our health screening requirements to be consistent with the new guidelines. 

As such, effective immediately, staff and essential visitors, including our Trade Partners, will NOT be able to enter LCBO workplaces (including LCBO Head Office or retail locations) or report to work if:

  • They have  any of the following new or worsening symptoms:  fever or chills, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, cough, sore throat or trouble swallowing, runny nose/stuffy nose or nasal congestion, decrease or loss of smell or taste, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain, or not feeling well, extreme tiredness or sore muscles;
  • They have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14-days;
  • They have had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19.

If any of the above applies, the individual must go/stay home and contact their health care provider or Telehealth Ontario.

Moving forward, upon entering the LCBO, Trade representatives will be asked to sign in and complete a visitor health check declaration acknowledging that that they have answered “no” to all the health screening questions prior to providing any service to the workplace.
