An update on LCBO’s Hours and Trade Visits

By February 12, 2021No Comments

As the province begins to ease COVID-19 restrictions, we continue to evaluate the measures we have put in place to ensure we are doing everything we can to support our partners and customers with a convenient shopping experience, while keeping safety top of mind.

Beginning Monday, March 1, the LCBO intends to resume to expanded hours of operations, including opening stores on Mondays in over 600 locations across the province. As the ‘stay at home’ order is expected to be lifted, which included the reduced hours mandate, stores will be extending their closing time to 9 pm where applicable.

We will also be resuming trade store visits in A & B stores (no visits in C & D stores at this time). Up to three Trade members at a time will be welcomed in store any time related to checking on promotions, stocks or signage. Trade visits with managers will continue to be by appointment only, at the managers’ sole discretion, from 9am – 3 pm, Monday to Friday, and will be limited to 15 minutes per appointment. Visits must not take place in store offices – a reminder that 6’ physical distancing is required, and partners must wear a mask and adhere to all in-store safety measures. As of March 1, we will also be resuming Inter Store Transfers.

Beginning in P13, agents may resume applying value-adds or reviewing promotions without appointment. We kindly ask that only one representative per organization enters the store per visit.

All representatives must sign in and complete a visitor health check declaration acknowledging that that they have answered “no” to all the health screening questions prior to providing any service to the workplace.

It is important to note that we remain committed to safe shopping experiences. While we are introducing these expanded hours and trade visits, we have not relaxed safety measures and precautions that matter most, including continuing to operate with reduced capacity, stringent cleaning and sanitization, and in-store measures to promote physical distancing, and we will not hesitate to update operations accordingly to maintain a safe experience for all.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
