Dear valued Trade Partners,

On Monday, we updated you that when the new Provincewide Shutdown takes effect the LCBO will implement in-store capacities of up to 25%. For us, this will begin as of Sunday, December 27, 2020 when we reopen after Christmas and Boxing Day closures.

Having reviewed the full impact to the customer-experience, using updated guidance from public health as it relates to calculations of in-store capacities, we will be suspending in-store Trade visits and appointments within all stores during the shutdown. We had previously hoped that suspending in-store visits in our smaller C and D stores would be manageable.

Further, for the duration of LCBO Sales Periods 11 and 12, Representative-applied value adds are suspended, while approved near packs are allowed on the condition that the merchandise is delivered once. We are unable to offer any alternatives at this time, but we will be happy to discuss reinstating your incentives just as soon as we possibly can.

For local direct delivery producers using DDVP, all communication should be restricted to DDVP.  For those not using the system, this is the exception to the rule and these companies can continue to communicate over the phone for order placing, but must do so in the most limited fashion.

These decisions have been made out of consideration for our staff and customers, as we need to leave as much room as possible for them to operate and shop safely within significantly restricted capacities.
